Time Filter: Controls when the Child EA is allowed to copy trades. Enable Session 1 and set the start/end times. Enable Session 2 for a second time window if needed.
Display: On-chart dashboard position, color, and font size. Same as parent — defaults work fine.
Slippage: Maximum acceptable slippage in points when placing orders. Default 30 is fine for most brokers.
MagicNumber: A unique number for this Child EA. Each child terminal must use a different magic number to avoid conflicts.
Step 4 — Enable Algorithmic Trading
In MT5, go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors and make sure Allow algorithmic trading is checked. Without this, the Child EA cannot place orders on your account.

When enabled, the EA automatically retries failed orders when the broker rejects them (requotes, connection issues, etc.).
PARENT TRADES: Live trades on the parent account. View only — no actions.
CHILD TRADES: Copied trades on child accounts with action buttons.
■ STOP: Stop the EA — no new trades will be copied.
Close All: Close all open child trades at once.
Manual Mode: Detach selected trade from copier — manage it directly in MT terminal.
Set to Copier: Re-attach a manual trade back to copier control.
Modify SL/TP: Change SL/TP on selected child trades.
Partial Close: Close a percentage of selected trades.

Set to Copier Mode — How it works
When you select one or more child trades and click Set to Copier, a confirmation popup opens. The popup shows what will happen for each selected trade based on the parent trade status (still open or already closed) and whether the trade has SL/TP. Below are the different popup scenarios you may see and what each option does.
Scenario 1 — All parents open
If every selected trade has its parent still running, no warnings are shown. The popup is simple:

Click Change All and the selected trades will resume copying from their parent immediately. The Only Parent Open Trades button is not shown because there are no closed parents to filter out.
Scenario 2 — All parents closed
When every selected trade has a parent that already closed, the copier cannot copy the close event from the parent. You will see warnings explaining the impact:

Scenario 3 — Mixed: one parent open, one parent closed
This is the most common case. When some selected trades have parents still open and others are already closed, the popup looks like this:

Button options:
Cancel: Close the popup, no changes applied.
Only Parent Open Trades: Only convert trades whose parent is still open back to copier mode. Trades with closed parents stay in manual mode.
Change All: Convert all selected trades to copier mode regardless of parent status. Trades with closed parents will only follow Smart Partial rules. Trades without SL/TP will switch to OWN mode automatically.
Mode Priority
SpeedCopier has 4 management modes that can apply to a child trade. When multiple modes could apply, the copier picks one based on this priority:
OWN — Trade is managed with its own SL/TP only. Copier won't apply parent's SL changes or close the trade when the parent closes. If a trade has no SL/TP, the copier cannot manage it at all.
OPEN ONLY — Trade was opened by copier but won't follow parent for close.
SMART PARTIAL — Copier manages BE / Trail / Auto Partial rules. Still follows parent's close and SL changes by default. To stop closing with parent, enable Don't close with parent or use Smart Close if needed.
SMART CLOSE — Controls how the child closes relative to the parent:
If ticked → Closes child only when parent is manually closed (without SL/TP being hit).
If not ticked → Closes the child whenever the parent closes (any reason).
How priority works
If a trade qualifies for multiple modes, the highest-priority mode wins.
Example: Own + Open Only → trade shows OWN (Own has higher priority).
Example: Smart Partial + Smart Close → trade shows SMART PARTIAL (but Smart Close rules still execute when their conditions are met).
Example: Own + Smart Partial + Smart Close → trade shows OWN. The child closes only when its own SL/TP is hit. If you set a trade to copier mode and the trade has no SL/TP, the copier cannot apply SL/TP to it later — it behaves the same as a manual trade.
Use the filter controls at the top of the Activity Log page to narrow down the log entries you want to see. You can combine filters together — for example, view only "Modify" events from a specific child within the last 7 days.
Child-wise filter: Show logs from a specific child account only — useful when you have multiple children and need to inspect one in isolation.
Type filter: Filter by event type — Modify, BE, Trail, Skip, Fail, or Error. Pick one type to focus on, or combine multiple.
Date filter: View logs from any date up to the last 30 days. Older logs are archived and not shown in this view.
Filters can be combined freely — child + type + date — to find exactly the events you're looking for.
